
The Buckeyes traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the Cliff Keen Invitational on December 5 and 6. The Buckeyes were represented by six wrestlers and managed to finish a respectable 11th place as a team with the small lineup. Lance Palmer and Colt Sponseller each finished second in their weight classes. Corey Morrison finished sixth at Heavyweight and Jason Johnstone finished 8th at 157 pounds. Nikko Triggas and J. Jaggers also competed and both finished 2-2. Colt Sponseller ran into top ranked Mack Lewnes in the finals and fell 11-3. Lance Palmer defeated 5th ranked Kyle Ruschell of Nebraska in the semi finals before losing by fall to 2nd ranked Darion Caldwell of N.C. State in the finals. The Buckeyes return to action when they will face Edinboro next weekend.
